This project was one of Sonic’s most challenging to date. When the city of Hannibal approached B&B with the idea of building a new facility on this site, they turned to Sonic for guidance on moving forward. The site was one full city block in the historic downtown Hannibal, and had be a vacant lot since the buildings on that block were demolished in the 1980s. The lot was 1/4 mile from the Mississippi River,  housed one of the flood gates for the levy adjoining the property, and was situated adjacent to an active railroad. Working with numerous outside entities (historic groups, US Corps of Engineers, state agencies and city officials), Sonic and B&B were able to create a remarkable state-of-the-art facility that fits in with the historic design of “America’s Hometown”.

Sonic provided consulting on feasibility, design, equipment, and construction over site
