Tech Tips Trouble Shooting your Sound Problems 1. Change the output on the amp. If the sound problem is still there, you have a speaker problem. If the sound problem moves, continue to step 2. 2. Return the output to the original position then switch the input. If the sound problem moves, the issue is with your processor. If the problem stays, the issue is with your amp.
35mm Equipment Maintenance As we move into the slower time of year, take this opportunity to go through your equipment and tighten any loose screws for 35mm. Vibration loosens almost any screw and you can avoid a major catastrophy from simply doing this.
Playing Digital Movies Make sure your digital movies play all the way through so the show end will trigger all the automations and turn your slide projector back on. Otherwise you will be out of sync and have both projectors trying to play at the same time.
Walk the Digital Auditoriums Don't forget to check your digital house when walking auditoriums. Problems still occur. Masking motors could fail, speakers could become blown, tracking lighting could be out and even a small problem such as the auditorium being too hot or too cold. Checking auditoriums is a routine way to stop problems as they happen.
Proper Procedure for Cleaning Lenses Cleaning your lenses periodically will improve your presentation, but only if it is done correctly. You should never spray the lens cleaner directly onto the lens. The fluid can seep into the interior of the lens, and when light shines through, will cause a fogging effect. Your picture on the screen will be affected dramatically by being very blurry or hazy. The proper process is to spray the cleaner on a lens tissue first, wipe the lesn with the wet tissue and dry it off with another. Cleaning your lenses is easy to do, but doing it wrong could possibly loose a show or more depending on how much cleaner got inside of the lens.
